Acer palmatum 'Ukigumo'

This striking Acer has been given the name ‘Floating Cloud Maple’ due to its unusual, variegated foliage. Each leaf bears a unique pattern of pale green sprinkles against a cream background with a blush of pink spreading from the tips. In autumn, the foliage develops rich yellow-orange tones before falling to unveil an elegant tracery of fine, tiered branches. Acers are slow growing and make ideal specimens for small gardens and containers where they provide multiple seasons of interest.
